Do you value your privacy? Would you mind a chatsite management prying into your private and working life, snooping around on your e mail account, or even CONTACTING your boss, your friends, or members of your family?
Ladslads describes itself as "the fastest-growing chatsite ever", yet according to ex-users of the chatsite in the three and a half years it has been operating it has attracted more complaints than any other website - EVER.
Some complaints are made by people currently using the site who complain of racism, ageism, or other bad treatment that makes their visits to the site uncomfortable.
Other users complain of a "couldn't-care-less" attitude of the management.
Others have complained of Hitler-type moderators and the internet is full of articles of complaints about the ladslads chatsite.
Others have complained that ladslads has abused their privacy and has sold-on their personal information to other agencies.
Others have complained that after leaving ladslads, the site admininstrators have maliciously edited their profile, changing the text to something that doesn't show the person in a good light.
An ex-user of the site has said on an internet blogsite that after leaving ladslads a member of ladslads staff out of spite phoned the ex-users boss to discuss his sexuality and sexual preferences.
Another ex-user has said that after ladslads they allowed his profile to "run-on" on the site with edited text on his profile of "I have cancer and I haven't got long to go" maliciously written on the profile.
Others complain that while the site is free to join, there is a COST involved to have your profile removed.
Some ex-users have complained that on leaving the site ladslads has maliciously sent-out messages and has sent hundreds of copies of those messages to the ex-users e mail address, swamping it completely.
LADSLADS is certainly making a name for itself - but for ALL the wrong reasons.
Ladslads boasts having 2 and a half million users yet its own "users online " digital counter never registers more than 14,000 even at peak times. Searches on the site reveal that the digital counter has been zeroed at around 10,000 rising by a count of 29 each time someone logs-on to the site. So in essence the 14,000 that it rises to probably equates to around 140 users. Ladslads own search engine reveals the figure of 14,000 online to be complete fantasy. Several phantom american profiles seem to come out the woodwork each night, none showing a name, none showing any personal details, and all are no doubt fake.
Because of the many abuses involving ladslads there is currently a public petition on the internet (nothing to do with this site) to forcibly shutdown the Ladslads site.
Ladslads is also currently under investigation by the DMCA for its institutionalised abuse of privacy and data protection.
This site will provide complainants of the ladslads site, with the names, addresses & telephone numbers of organisations that will force these issues with the appropriate authorities AGAINST the management of the ladslads chatsite on a "COME GOOD OR GET SHUTDOWN" basis.
We feel that this is only fair in the light that there are serious breaches of the law & data protection involved.
We will be instrumental in partnering agencies to secure taking-out legal injunctions and summonses against ladslads, wherever appropriate.
The ladslads chatsite is registered as a business OUTSIDE Britain which gives it a facility to operate OUTSIDE the law.
We want to change that.
We also want to change certain other abuses such as:
Ladslads intimidates users into handing over their e mail password giving the site management complete control of the users e mail account that gives them full access to photos, personal documents, video etc.
And also:
The Ladslads chatsite uses software that secretly performs an illegal search of your computer when a user accesses the "upload a pic" page on ladslads. Photos & videos etc are instantly downloaded covertly WITHOUT THE USERS KNOWLEDGE AND CONSENT to the ladslads data banks, whether you upload a picture or not.
Ladslads CONTRAVENES laws of data protection on an institutionalised basis.
